A Message from Ajit Dayal

Dear Subscriber:

Thank you for allowing me to share my views and thoughts with you.

In the world of investments, there are truths, there are lies, there are statistics, there are facts…and there is The Honest Truth.

The world we live in is no longer a simple one.
It is complex.
More complex than a spiders web, more bumpy than the bumpiest road we can find in India.

Within this complexity, we wish to live simple lives. Honest lives.

But the system seems geared to reward dishonesty and punish honesty.
Does that mean we have to all turn dishonest to reap our hard-earned rewards?

I hope not.

I know that I would like to live my life in a simple and honest way. And yet, try to lead a comfortable life.

Why should being honest be linked to poverty?
And why should being wealthy be linked to dishonesty?

The Honest Truth column will address various issues on investing in the Indian stock markets; the Indian real estate markets; and investing in gold and other commodities.

And in many ways The Honest Truth will help us lead better, more honest lives – and still allow us the opportunity to enjoy some wealth for our material comforts.

In a world submerged in double-speak and side-deals and in an era where data bombards us on a “24 by 7” basis The Honest Truth seeks to filter noise, analyse information, and share a honest – and unique – perspective of the investment world.
