Power generation suffered as: 1) new capacities were not added to the extent required and 2) the plant load factor (capacity utilization) shrank due to coal and gas supply constraints. Crude oil production reduced as the Bombay High platform was involved in an accident disrupting supplies. The continuing boom in construction has seen rising growth in cement.
