Mid-term review of the Monetary and Credit Policy 2003-2004
The Reserve Bank of India has announced the mid-term review of the monetary policy for 2003-04 today. Over the past two years, the Central Bank has systematically moved towards reducing market interest rates, ensuring adequate liquidity in the system and strengthening the banking sector. This time, the Reserve Bank of India has left bank rate and cash reserve ratio (CRR) unchanged.
