Don't Miss this Ex-Investment Banker's Views on Investing

Radhika Pandit, Research Analyst

In my first stint at Equitymaster, way back in 2005, we were a research team of around 7-8 members.

A couple of them were senior analysts but most of us were new recruits and learning fast.

And then after a few months, another senior analyst joined the team.

I found his background quite intriguing.

You see, he had already worked in Equitymaster for a couple of years. By the time I joined, he had left the organisation to take up a plum offer with a Swiss investment bank.

Ex-Swiss Investment Banker Reveals His Biggest Investment Strategy in 4 Free Video Classes

Rahul Shah, ex-Swiss investment banker and Co-Head of Research at Equitymaster, is hosting a series of 4 free video classes for his readers, where he will reveal the details of something he's been working on for years…

The Double Income Project…

Rahul will show his readers, step-by-step, how to dramatically increase their income, potentially even double it…in what he believes is the earliest amount of time possible. a few short years.

For instance, if you make Rs 50,000 a month…Rahul's goal is to show you how to take it to Rs 100,000 in the long run.

Or if you make Rs 100,000…Rahul will show you how you could potentially increase it to Rs 200,000 in the long run.

This is different from anything Rahul Shah has ever done before – there's nothing to pay, no service to subscribe to and no forms to fill to attend these classes.

The lure of more money then was too good to miss. Who will not miss such an opportunity in an expensive city like Mumbai?

And yet, after a stint in the investment bank for a year, here he was back again at Equitymaster!

I was curious. In those days, investment banks were the place to be in. The 2009 global financial crisis had not yet unraveled. Most of the graduates from top management colleges jostled to be recruited in those firms.

Therefore, who was this analyst who decided to do just the opposite?

It's none other than Rahul Shah.

Why did Rahul come back to Equitymaster?

The Double Income Project: The Lazy Man's Guide to Doubling Your Income in The Long Term

He was unhappy with the work ethics at this investment bank.

You see, Rahul is a man of integrity with a sharp focus on following the right approach at any cost. It's not surprising then that his personality and his work ethic were at odds with the money-driven, pressure cooker culture of an investment bank.

Given his age then, he does not regret testing the waters. But having done so and finding it not to his liking, he wanted to focus his energies on doing something where he excels.

That's why he returned to Equitymaster. Since then, there has been no looking back.

Armed with a flair for humour and his trademark analytical style, Rahul has been instrumental in building and laying the foundation for the right research processes at Equitymaster.

He is the guru of our research team with years of experience under his belt.

He is the go-to man if you want to absorb nuggets of wisdom or have a passionate debate about stocks and investing.

Indeed, he was the first among us to unearth the secrets of Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger's investing philosophies urging the rest of the team to do so too.

It was certainly the inspiration I needed when heading the ValuePro service a few years ago.

When Rahul has an idea he wants to discuss, it always grabs my attention. He is a man of few words, but when he does have something to say, it is time to sit up and take notice.

To me, it's a guarantee that Rahul has done a lot of thinking and some thorough testing to ensure that his idea carries considerable weight.

This is why I am excited about Rahul's new project. I believe, it's a money-making strategy as solid as a rock.

Rahul can't wait to reveal his new strategy to you.

You can find the details here.

Warm regards,
