Cadbury: Taking a bow…

Chocolate major, Cadbury India, has reported a strong performance for the September quarter. The company finished 3QFY03 with 11% growth in topline and nearly 19% growth in bottomline. The performance is much better than what it had reported till the first half of FY03 (5.5% topline growth and 10% bottomline growth excluding extraordinary income).

Chocolate major Cadbury India is showing signs of pressure going by its 2QFY03 numbers. The company reported a staid 4.3% topline growth during the quarter. However, aided by extraordinary income it posted a 101% rise in net profit YoY.

Chocolate major Cadbury India's 1QFY03 performance continues to be steady. The company recorded a 9% growth in net profits on the back of a 6.5% growth in topline. The bottomline growth has been consistent at 9-10% in recent quarters, however, the topline growth seems subdued as compared to December quarter (17% growth).
