Moving forward, the acquisition of Nexans AutoElectric's Wiring Harness business will create a scalable global platform for passenger vehicles (PVs) and commercial vehicles (CVs).
This move will strengthen the Samvardhana Motherson International's ability to provide better wiring harness solutions from more international locations.
The company remains focused on maintaining financial discipline, with a net leverage ratio of 1.1x despite ongoing growth investments and elevated working capital requirements. Continued deleveraging efforts are underway, while recently announced M&As are expected to close in H1FY27.
The product portfolio is being expanded to include business jets and rotary-wing aircraft. This will provide more options for each customer and allow for deeper diversification.
Several partnerships have been announced across various businesses, which are expected to boost long-term growth opportunities.
In the aerospace sector, the company has set a goal to grow the business tenfold. It plans to launch two new facilities by July 2026. Its recent status as a tier-1 supplier for commercial aircraft components adds strength to its position and could open more opportunities.
The company is also building capacity to handle more complex and larger auto modules. This shift will help it move higher in the value chain by offering integrated solutions in vehicle assembly.

In the past five trading sessions, Samvardhana Motherson International shares jumped by 10%, extending its one-month rally to 16%.
Over the past year, the shares have been up 55%.
