The Indian stock market, with the Sensex and Nifty ended lower on Monday. The decline came after strong gains in the previous session, as rising tensions between Iran and the US and higher crude oil prices weighed on market sentiment.

While overall market sentiment remained negative, one stock that stood out as a notable gainer was Bhansali Engineering Polymers.

Bhansali Engineering Polymer is engaged in the manufacturing of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) resins and styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) resins, which are classified under the category of highly specialised engineering thermoplastics.

Today, the company's shares are gaining momentum as they are up 14% today, attracting investors' attention.

Here's a closer look at the factors driving this impressive surge and why the stock is in the spotlight.

# Q1 FY27 Results

Bhansali Engineering Polymers' shares jumped more than 14% on Monday after the company reported its Q1 FY27 results.

Revenue from operations jumped 53.3% year-over-year (YoY) to Rs 4,722 million (m) in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs 3,079 m in the same period last year.

EBITDA rose 44.5% YoY to Rs 923 m, compared to Rs 639 m in Q1 FY26. EBITDA margin stood at 19.2%, compared to 20% a year ago.

Profit after tax grew 42.9% YoY to Rs 656 m in Q1 FY27, from Rs 459 m in Q1 FY26.

This was one of the main reasons the share price surged.
