A Contrarian View on Whether You Should Load Up on Small Caps podcast

SEBI has modified the scheme characteristics of multicap funds.

Henceforth, all multi-cap funds will be required to invest at least 25% of their portfolios in equity and equity related instruments of large-cap, mid-cap and small-cap companies, respectively.

Thus, if funds recalibrate their portfolios and increase allocation to small caps, as much as Rs 28,000 crore could flow in to small caps in the next few months.

Even more if the fund manager wants to go beyond the prescribed 25% limit.

Will this lead to another sharp rally in small caps?
