Bringing smiles back to our souls - The Honest Truth By Ajit Dayal

Bringing smiles back to our souls A  A  A
5 OCTOBER 2012

Over the years, the companies we have set up in the field of financial services ( for financial planning; for giving you views and research on individual stocks; and for investing in mutual funds ) have all focused on ensuring that the advice you get is what is good for you - what is in your interest.

We hope that, as followers and clients of these three entities - run by teams of committed and dedicated individuals - we have allowed you to sleep well at night. Have given you comfort.

Now, can we make you smile?

First, a confession: I am not a musician.

I cannot read music.

I cannot identify a "raag" or a "concerto" or anything.

A few months ago, I was asked by an avid music lover who was surprised to see me at a concert, "what raag do you like?"

I responded: "the raag that touches my soul".

So, here it is: National Streets for the Performing Arts.

A country - or its people - will not be remembered for their market cap; or for how many billionaires they produced; or for how many cities it created.

A society will be remembered for its culture, for its social values, and for what it teaches its children.

NSPA is our small effort to bring some soul back into the tired cities. A smile back into our lives.

The world will be a far better place when an artist, a musician, a poet has as much chance of making a fair amount of money - as much as someone working in a company, in the corporate world.

NSPA will pay a salary to the performers - and allow them to make more money by doing what they enjoy the most: making music, creating a smile for our souls.

We start with Bombay and hope we take it forward to other cities, to other corners of India.

Your support and feedback - as always - will help us make sure we stay on the right path.

PETITION - Save India's Democracy and Growth Story

India's future is dark. The economic situation can be as bad as 1991 they say. And the political situation is also uncertain.

Our MPs are shouting, finger pointing and politicking. And they worked ONLY 21% of the Monsoon Session. Important Bills are pending to be debated and passed.

Citizens of India... Don't be silent spectators. Every voice matters. The Berlin Wall did not fall with just one effort. It all adds up. Help bring India back on track.

Sign this Petition. And spread the word...

Dear Sir,
Commendable effort & all power to your elbows on this initiative. But there are people on the eastern suburbs also! Why only Borivili, Bandra & Churchgate?
Before other cities cover this one in full.
Many thanks
