Asian markets traded higher on Friday after US President Donald Trump said that he would be announcing his pick for the next Federal Reserve chair today.

US stock market ended mostly lower on Thursday, weighed down by selling in technology stocks.

NTPC Green Energy Q3 FY26 Results

Shares of NTPC Green Energy came into focus after the company reported its Q3 FY26 results.

In Q3 FY26, the company reported a marginal decline in revenue, with revenue from operations at Rs 4.47 bn, down 3.05% from Rs 4.61 bn in Q3 FY25.

Total income fell more sharply to Rs 4.74 bn, a decline of 10.82% from Rs 5.31 bn a year ago.

As a result, profit after tax dropped significantly to Rs 0.60 bn, down 32.59% compared to Rs 0.89 bn in the same quarter last year.

Tata Motors Q3 FY26 Results

Shares of Tata Motors came into focus after the company reported its Q3 FY26 results.

Revenue performance was strong, supported by better demand. Revenue from operations increased 16% YoY to Rs 218.47 bn in Q3 FY26. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, revenue rose 17.5% from Rs 185.85 bn in Q2 FY26, helped by higher volumes and improved operating leverage.

Profitability showed mixed trends. Operating margin improved to 12.60% from 12.07% a year ago, while profit margin stood at 3.23%.

Consolidated EBITDA margin increased by 30 basis points to 12.5%, indicating gradual operational improvement.

During the quarter, the company reported exceptional expenses of Rs 16.43 bn, which included Rs 9.62 bn towards stamp duty related to the demerger, Rs 6.03 bn due to the implementation of new labour codes, and Rs 0.82 bn for acquisition-related expenses.

Tata Motors' commercial vehicle (CV) business reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 7.05 bn in Q3 FY26, compared to a loss of Rs 8.67 bn in Q2 FY26.

However, on a year-on-year basis, profit fell 48% from Rs 13.55 bn in Q3 FY25.
