After opening the day on a positive note, Indian share markets continued to surge in the post-noon trading session. Almost all the sectoral indices are trading in the green. Pharma and Auto stocks are the biggest gainers today.
BSE-Sensex is up 473.3 points, while the NSE-Nifty is up 142.5 points. BSE Mid Cap is trading 1.76% up and BSE Small Cap index is trading up by 1.63%. Gold prices are trading at Rs 26,922 levels and silver prices are trading at Rs 37,908 levels. At the time of writing, the rupee stood at 63.95 to the US dollar.
Textiles and plastic firm Sintex Industries has declared its consolidated results for the fourth quarter ended March 2015. During the quarter, the company has reported an increase of 22.71% in its consolidated net profit at Rs 1.98 bn as compared to Rs 1.61 bn for the same quarter of the last fiscal. The company's consolidated net sales for the quarter under review was at 21.68 bn as compared to Rs 19.83 bn for the corresponding quarter. Also, the board of company has recommended a dividend of Rs 0.7 per share for FY15. Shares of Sintex Industries were trading up about 4% in post noon trade.
Retail stocks are trading mixed with Future Retail and Provogue Ltd. being the leading gainers. Titan and PC Jeweller are amongst the top losers. The stock of Titan is trading on a negative note due to disappointing 4QFY15 results. The stock is down over 4% in the post noon trade. During the quarter, company's net sales declined 11.2% to Rs 24.74 bn from Rs 27.87 bn in the corresponding quarter. The operating profit during the quarter went down 9.42% to Rs 2.5 bn from Rs 2.76 bn in the same quarter of the last fiscal.
