Indian benchmark indices traded negative throughout the session and ultimately closed red.
Indian equity benchmarks indices, Sensex and Nifty50 ended higher as IT, metal, and consumer durable stocks advanced, while traders await the details of the US-India trade deal's first tranche.
At the closing bell on Tuesday, the BSE Sensex closed 382 points higher (up 0.5%)
Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty closed 101 points higher (up 0.4%)

Infosys, HCL Tech, TCS were the top gainers today.
Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance, NTPC on the other hand, were among the top losers today.
The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.3% higher and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.5% higher.
Sectoral indices were trading mixed on Tuesday with healthcare sector and power sector witnessed selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in IT sector and auto sector witnesses buying.

Speaking of stock markets, Richa Agarwal Research Analyst at Equitymaster highlights that AI has emerged as a major risk for legacy IT companies.
This concern is reflected in the sharp correction in the BSE IT, which has declined over 20%.

Digital infrastructure company Black Box and enterprise AI firm AIONOS have entered a strategic partnership to help businesses adopt artificial intelligence (AI) faster.
PNC Infratech came into focus after the company received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Lucknow Development Authority for an EPC contract worth Rs 194.40 crore.
The project involves the construction of a four-lane flyover, along with two loops and two ramps, at the Shaheed Path intersection on the right bank of the Gomti River in Lucknow.
The company said the project is expected to be completed within 24 months. It also clarified that the contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and does not involve any related-party transaction.
PNC Infratech is an infrastructure development and construction company with projects spanning highways, bridges, flyovers, airport runways, power transmission lines and industrial area development.
Shares of NHPC came into focus after the government announced an Offer for Sale (OFS) to sell up to a 6% stake in the company at a discount to the current market price.
The Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) has offered an initial 3% stake for sale, with an option to sell an additional 3% if investor demand is strong.
The OFS opened for non-retail investors on June 2, while retail investors can place bids on June 3.
As of the March 2026 quarter, the government held a 67.4% stake in NHPC. The stake sale is part of the government's ongoing disinvestment programme, which recently included similar sales in Coal India and Central Bank of India.
SoftTech Engineers Limited has partnered with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to launch India's first AI-powered "Digital Approval Twin" called CivitTWIN, designed to speed up building permit approvals.
The platform was launched at a tech event in Mumbai by Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, along with senior officials from the city administration.
Currently, Mumbai processes over 8,000 building proposals every year, and the approval system is highly complex, involving hundreds of manual data entries, coordination with multiple departments, and verification of many documents.
CivitTWIN aims to simplify this by allowing architects and applicants to upload building plans, check them digitally, identify errors in advance, and fix issues before final submission. This helps reduce delays and mistakes in the approval process.
The system uses multiple AI agents to read and process drawings, documents, maps, and past data to simulate the approval journey in advance.
SoftTech Engineers said this marks a major step in using AI for government services and supports its goal of improving urban planning and infrastructure management through digital solutions.
