Indian benchmark indices traded negative throughout the session and ultimately closed red.

Indian equity benchmarks indices, Sensex and Nifty50 ended lower due to heightened tension in West Asia.

At the closing bell on Monday, the BSE Sensex  closed 719 points lower (down 0.9%)

Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty closed 244 points lower (down 1%)

Bharti Airtel, Bharat Elec, Tech Mahindra ere the top gainers today.

Eternal, Tata Steel, Trent on the other hand, were among the top losers today.

The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 1.7% lower and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 1.8% lower.

Baring hospital sector all other sectoral indices were trading negative on Monday with metal sector and telecommunication sector witnessed selling pressure.

Speaking of stock markets, Richa Agarwal Research Analyst at Equitymaster highlights that AI has emerged as a major risk for legacy IT companies.

This concern is reflected in the sharp correction in the BSE IT, which has declined over 20%.

HG Infra share price will be in focus today.

Shares of HG Infra Engineering came into focus after the company received the provisional completion certificate for a key package of the Ganga Expressway project in Uttar Pradesh.

Ixigo share price will be in focus today.

Ixigo's board has approved the acquisition of a 54.66% stake in Brevistay Hospitality for Rs 656.9 million through a combination of buying existing shares and investing fresh capital. Once the deal is completed, Brevistay will become a subsidiary of Ixigo.

Amber Forms Electronics Subsidiary ILJIN Technologies

Amber Enterprises India has announced the incorporation of a new subsidiary named ILJIN Technologies Private Limited in India on 4 June 2026.

The new company is part of its electronics business and will focus on products in the medical, defence, and aerospace electronics space. This move is aimed at building a stronger presence in high-value and specialised electronic segments.

ILJIN Technologies has been set up as a step-down subsidiary through Amber's material subsidiary IL JIN. The company will be jointly funded, with a total initial investment of Rs 100 lakh, including contributions from IL JIN and Singularity.

IL JIN will hold a 60% stake in the new entity, making ILJIN Technologies a subsidiary of IL JIN and a step-down subsidiary of Amber Enterprises. The investment will be made in cash.

EMS Bags Urban Sewer Infrastructure Contract

EMS Limited has received the lowest bidder (L-1) status from UP Jal Nigam (Urban), Varanasi, for a sewer network project worth Rs 1.0285 billion.

The contract involves surveying, soil testing, design, supply of materials, labour, and construction work for developing a sewer network and house connections in four wards of Varanasi - Shivpurwa, Tulasipur, Birdopur, and Kajipura.

The project will be executed on a turnkey basis and is expected to be completed within 24 months.

Alembic Pharma Invests in Canada Venture

Shares of Alembic Pharmaceuticals came into focus after the company announced an investment in a newly formed Canadian company, Canada Inc., to expand its presence in the Canadian pharmaceutical market.

The company has signed an agreement with Difgen Holdings LLC and Sukhad Juneja. Alembic and Difgen will each hold a 45% stake, while the remaining 10% will be held by other investors. The new company will focus on developing, selling, and marketing pharmaceutical products in Canada.

In a separate development, the company also received final approval from the USFDA for its generic version of Haloperidol Tablets in multiple strengths. This medicine is used to treat certain psychiatric disorders and conditions like Tourette's syndrome.

Overall, the move is aimed at expanding Alembic Pharma's presence in the Canadian market while also strengthening its product approvals in the US.
