Indian equity benchmarks indices, Sensex and Nifty50 settled lower as PSU Bank, FMCG, and chemical shares weighed.
At the closing bell on Tuesday, the BSE Sensex closed points 69 lower (down 1%)
Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty closed 10 points lower (dwon 0.9%)

Bharat Elec, HUL, NTPC on the other hand, were among the top losers today.
The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.01% higher and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.4% lower.
Sectoral indices were trading mixed on Tuesday with IT sector and realty sector witnessed buying. Meanwhile, stocks in power sector and telecommunication sector witnesses selling pressure.

The company reported a net profit of Rs 3.05 bn for the April-June quarter, down 6% from Rs 3.24 bn in the same period last year.
Varun Beverages share price will be in focus today.
Shares of Varun Beverages came into focus after the company reported its quarterly results.
For the quarter ended June 30, Varun Beverages reported a 15.1% year-on-year (YoY) increase in profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 15.5 billion, compared with Rs 13.3 billion in the corresponding quarter last year.
Shares of Aurionpro Solutions came into focus after the company reported its Q1 FY27 results.
Aurionpro Solutions reported a 12.6% year-on-year (YoY) decline in profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 0.45 billion for Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 0.51 billion in the corresponding quarter last year, despite reporting higher revenue.
Revenue increased 6.3% YoY to Rs 3.58 billion, up from Rs 3.37 billion in the year-ago period.
The company's operating performance remained under pressure, with EBITDA declining 9.1% YoY to Rs 0.61 billion. Consequently, the EBITDA margin contracted by 300 basis points to 17.2% during the quarter.
Shares of Tata Chemicals came into focus after the company reported its Q1 FY27 results.
Tata Chemicals reported an 81% year-on-year (YoY) decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 0.6 billion for the quarter ended June, compared with Rs 3.2 billion in the corresponding period last year, as higher expenses weighed on earnings.
Total income increased 13.0% YoY to Rs 43.1 billion from Rs 38.2 billion in the year-ago quarter.
EBITDA stood at Rs 5.6 billion in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 6.5 billion in Q1 FY26.
Shares of Indus Tower came into focus after the company reported its Q1 FY27 results.
Indus Towers reported a 0.5% year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 17.5 billion for the quarter ended June 2026, compared with Rs 17.4 billion in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Revenue from operations increased 4.6% YoY to Rs 84.3 billion in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 80.6 billion in the year-ago period. The company delivered steady growth in revenue, while profitability remained broadly stable during the quarter.
