Indian benchmark indices traded positive throughout the session and ultimately closed green.
Indian equity benchmarks indices, Sensex and Nifty50 ended higher for the third day as auto and financial services shares advanced.
At the closing bell on Friday, the BSE Sensex closed 166 points higher (up 0.2%)
Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty closed 66 points higher (up 0.2%)

TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra on the other hand, were among the top losers today.
The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.3% higher and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.4% higher.
Sectoral indices were trading mixed on Friday with power sector and auto sector witnessed buying. Meanwhile, stocks in private bank sector and IT sector witnesses selling pressure.

Speaking of stock markets, Tanushree Banerjee, Research Analyst at Equitymaster, highlights that tollbooth monopoly stocks are facing rising regulatory risks that could weaken their strong moats.
She notes that changes like market coupling are challenging platforms such as IEX. The main risk is not earnings, but valuation de-rating due to reduced pricing power.

Mankind Pharma share price will be in focus today.
Shares of Mankind Pharma came into focus after the company reported its Q1 business update.
For the quarter ended June, Mankind Pharma reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 5.68 billion, up 29.6% year-on-year, driven by strong revenue growth, lower finance costs, and controlled expenses.
Hyundai Motors share price will be in focus today.
Shares of Hyundai Motors came into focus after the company reported its Q1 business update.
Hyundai Motor India reported a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 8.89 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, down 35.1% year-on-year as higher expenses weighed on earnings.
Astra Microwave secured an order worth Rs 22.05 billion (bn) from HAL for the supply of 122 Airborne Active Antenna Units (AAAU) and 121 Interface Frames for the indigenous Uttam AESA Radar programme.
The order will be executed over the next five years and is one of the largest in the company's history, exceeding its existing order book.
It strengthens Astra Microwave's position in India's indigenous airborne radar ecosystem and reinforces its long-standing partnership with HAL on the Uttam AESA Radar programme.
Thermax reported an 85% year-on-year (YoY) decline in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 220 million in Q1FY27 from Rs 1.51 bn a year earlier.
Profit before tax (PBT) fell 80% to Rs 420 million from Rs 2.11 bn in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Consolidated operating revenue rose 7% YoY to Rs 23.03 bn from Rs 21.58 bn.
The company said its Q1FY27 performance was affected by a Rs 910 million increase in the estimated cost to complete a specific project in the Industrial Infra segment following developments identified during the quarter.
In addition, the year-ago quarter included Rs 560 million in income under the Package Scheme of Incentives for a subsidiary in the Industrial Infra segment. Lower export sales also weighed on the profitability of the Industrial Products segment during the quarter.

LIC Housing Finance reported a 9.9% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit to Rs 14.99 bn in Q1FY27 from Rs 13.64 bn in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Revenue declined by 1.3% YoY to Rs 70.67 bn from Rs 71.62 bn in the year-ago quarter.
