Although the benchmark indices opened higher, they traded positive throughout the session and ultimately closed green.

Indian equity benchmarks indices, Sensex and Nifty50 extended its winning streak to the fourth session as oil prices corrected sharply on reports of US and Iran talks.

At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex  closed 540 points higher (up 0.7%)

Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty closed 390 points higher (up 1.%)

TCS, Infosys, ITC were the top gainers today.

Bharti Airtel, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel on the other hand, were among the top losers today.

The GIFT Nifty was trading at 24,653 with 205 points higher at the time of writing.

The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.7% higher and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 1.3% higher.

Baring hospital sector and oil & gas sector all other sectoral indices were trading positive today with IT sector and services sector witnessed buying.

The rupee is trading at Rs 95.3 against the US$.

Gold prices for the latest contract on MCX are trading 0.2% higher at Rs 1,43,710 per 10 grams.

Meanwhile, silver prices were trading 0.4% higher at 2,18,265 per 1 kg.

MobiKwik Q1 Results

Shares of MobiKwik came into focus after the company reported its Q1 FY27 results.

MobiKwik's revenue from operations grew 3.7% year-on-year to Rs 281.5 m in the first quarter of FY27, up from Rs 271.4 m in the corresponding period last year. Sequentially, the fintech's profit increased 73.7%, while revenue declined 2.5%.

EBITDA stood at Rs 15.8 m in Q1 FY27, while the platform's gross merchandise value (GMV) reached an all-time quarterly high of Rs 58,700 m, marking a 50 per cent year-on-year increase.

Fixed costs as a percentage of total income were 39%, reflecting an investment phase focused on high-growth segments. In an exchange filing, MobiKwik reported a net profit of Rs 76 m in Q1, compared with a net loss of Rs 419.2 m in the year-ago period.

Muthoot Finance Q1 Results

Shares of Muthoot Finance came into focus after the company reported its Q1 FY27 results.

Muthoot Finance reported a 43% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 28.3 billion (bn) in the first quarter ended June 2026, compared with Rs 19.7 bn in the corresponding period last year.

Total income rose to Rs 87.0 bn during the quarter from Rs 64.9 bn a year earlier, while total expenses increased to Rs 49.0 bn from Rs 38.1 bn.

The company's loan assets under management (AUM) grew 43% year-on-year to Rs 1,915.3 bn as of the end of June 2026, up from Rs 1,339.4 bn in the year-ago period.

GAIL Q1 Results

Shares of Muthoot Finance came into focus after the company reported its Q1 FY27 results.

GAIL reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 4.67 bn in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 2.38 bn in the corresponding quarter a year earlier. Revenue from operations increased to Rs 41.35 bn in the reporting quarter from Rs 35.43 bn in the same quarter last year.

The company said earnings from its natural gas transmission business rose 14% year-on-year to Rs 1.78 bn, while earnings from natural gas marketing surged to Rs 3.48 bn from Rs 1.07 bn a year ago.

Earnings from the LPG business climbed to Rs 0.77 bn in the April-June quarter from Rs 0.21 bn a year earlier. Meanwhile, losses in the petrochemical segment narrowed to Rs 0.12 bn from Rs 0.25 bn in the corresponding period last year.
