Why is Ola Electric Share Price rising?

In the news from the EV sector, shares of Ola Electric surged over 10% to an intraday high of Rs 42.55 on BSE.

One of the key reasons behind the rally in Ola Electric shares is the company's latest move into the utility-scale battery energy storage market.

On 5 August, Ola Electric announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Axis Energy to explore the deployment of up to 20 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) by 2032.

The partnership marks the first large-scale commercial agreement for Ola Mahashakti, the company's upcoming energy storage platform for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale applications, which is scheduled to be launched on 15 August.

The agreement also signals a new growth opportunity for Ola Electric beyond electric vehicles, with utility-scale battery storage expected to become a key business segment for the company.

In 2026, so far, shares of Ola Electric have gained over 11%. In the past month, the stock has been up marginally.

Why Realty Stocks Are Rising Today?

Realty stocks gained up to 4% on Wednesday after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) kept the benchmark repo rate unchanged at 5.25% for the fourth consecutive monetary policy review, lifting investor sentiment across the sector.

The Nifty Realty index emerged as one of the top-performing sectoral indices on the NSE, rising 2.7% during the session, with eight of its ten constituents trading in positive territory. The rally also marked a sharp rebound after the index had declined by as much as 2.5% in the previous trading session.

The RBI's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), chaired by Governor Sanjay Malhotra, unanimously decided to maintain the repo rate at 5.25% while retaining its 'neutral' policy stance.

The decision is seen as favourable for the real estate sector, as stable interest rates help keep home loan borrowing costs predictable for buyers while providing developers with greater financing visibility. This, in turn, supports housing demand and improves overall sentiment toward real estate stocks.

Why Sterlite Technologies Share Price Hit the Upper Circuit Today?

Shares of Sterlite Technologies Ltd (STL) hit the 5% upper circuit on Wednesday, extending their winning streak to a fifth consecutive session, amid optimism over reports that the US is planning restrictions on imports of certain Chinese data centre components.

According to a Reuters report, the Trump administration is drafting measures to ban imports of new models of Chinese data centre components as part of its efforts to secure infrastructure supporting the rapid growth of artificial intelligence (AI).

The proposed restrictions are expected to benefit non-Chinese manufacturers of optical networking and fibre equipment, as global customers may increasingly diversify their supply chains away from Chinese vendors.

Sterlite Technologies is well-positioned to benefit from this shift. The company is one of India's leading manufacturers of optical fibre and optical fibre cables, which are critical for high-speed internet connectivity and AI-driven data centre infrastructure.

With a strong presence in domestic and international markets, STL supplies optical networking solutions to telecom operators, governments, enterprises, and data centres worldwide.
