Shares of Bharti Airtel came into focus after the company reported its Q1 FY27 results.
Bharti Airtel reported a strong performance for the quarter ended June 30, with consolidated net profit rising 37% year-on-year to Rs 81.7 billion (bn), driven by higher mobile tariffs, robust subscriber additions, and continued growth across its India and Africa operations.
Consolidated revenue from operations increased 18.4% year-on-year and 5.7% sequentially to Rs 585.4 bn, while consolidated EBITDA stood at Rs 336.0 bn, resulting in an EBITDA margin of 57.4%.
The company's average revenue per user (ARPU), a key profitability metric, improved to Rs 264 during the quarter from Rs 250 a year earlier, reflecting the impact of tariff hikes and an improving customer mix.
During the quarter, Airtel also completed a share-swap transaction that increased its stake in Airtel Africa to over 79%, reinforcing management's confidence in the long-term growth prospects of its Africa business.

Shares of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) came into focus after the company reported its Q1 FY27 results.
ONGC reported a 112% year-on-year increase in standalone net profit to Rs 170.3 bn for the first quarter of FY27. Revenue from operations rose 45.2% YoY to Rs 464.6 bn, supported by higher crude oil and gas realizations.
During the quarter, revenue from new well gas stood at Rs 40.0 bn, generating an additional Rs 19.0 bn compared with the administered price mechanism (APM) gas price. New well gas accounted for approximately 38% of ONGC's nomination gas revenue.
On a consolidated basis, net profit declined 43.3% YoY, primarily due to HPCL's net loss of Rs 122.7 bn, driven by under-recoveries on petroleum products following the sharp rise in crude oil prices amid the West Asia crisis. However, improved performance from subsidiaries including ONGC Videsh and MRPL partially offset the impact.
Operationally, ONGC benefited from a sharp improvement in commodity realizations. Net crude oil realization increased 50.4% YoY to US$99.45 per barrel, while crude produced through joint ventures realized US$103.34 per barrel, up 52.3% from a year earlier.
Shares of Kalyan Jewellers India came into focus after the company reported its Q1 FY27 results.
The company reported a 32% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit to Rs 3.5 bn for the first quarter, compared with Rs 2.6 bn in the corresponding period last year. On a sequential basis, however, net profit declined from Rs 4.1 bn reported in the March quarter.
Revenue from operations rose 46% YoY to Rs 105.9 bn, up from Rs 72.7 bn a year earlier. Sequentially, revenue declined 3%.
The contribution from studded jewellery, a higher-margin segment, moderated during the quarter. In India, the share of studded jewellery sales declined to 29.7% from 30.3% a year earlier, while in the Middle East it fell to 16.3% from 18.3%.
At the operating level, EBITDA increased 25% YoY to Rs 6.3 bn, compared with Rs 5.1 bn in the year-ago quarter. However, EBITDA declined 14% on a quarter-on-quarter basis, while the EBITDA margin contracted by 100 basis points both year-on-year and sequentially to 6.0%.
