METAL Sector Best Performer this Week; HEALTHCARE Lags...

The week gone by saw BSE Sensex trade on a positive note.

The BSE Sensex opened its trading session at 73,095 and closed at 73,677, registering a gain of 0.8%.

Stocks such as VODAFONE IDEA and VODAFONE IDEA were among the most traded stocks during the week.

The S&P BSE CAPITAL GOODS gained 2.8% during the week. It started this week's trading session at 57,661 and closed at 59,254, registering a gain of 1,592 points (up 2.8%). BHEL and V GUARD INDUSTRIES were among the top gainers in the capital goods sector while GRINDWELL NORTON and FINOLEX CABLES were among the top losers.

The S&P BSE CONSUMER DURABLES gained 2.4% during the week. It started this week's trading session at 51,308 and closed at 52,532, registering a gain of 1,224 points (up 2.4%). Worst Performing Sectors This Week

On the other hand, S&P BSE HEALTHCARE was among the worst performing sectors this week. While S&P BSE HEALTHCARE lost 2.2%, S&P BSE IT was down by around 2.2%.

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex gained 1.1% during the week. It touched a high of 73,916 and a low of 73,412.
