Indian benchmark indices traded lower throughout the session and ultimately closed red.

Indian equity benchmarks, Sensex and Nifty, ended with steep losses on Monday amid lack of domestic market triggers.

At the closing bell on Monday, the BSE Sensex  closed lower by 609 points (down 0.7%).

Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty closed 225 points lower (down 0.8%).

Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Reliance Industries among the top gainers today.

Bharat Elec, Trent, Tata Steel on the hand, were among the top losers today.

The BSE MidCap index ended 1.7% lower and BSE SmallCap index ended 2.2% lower.

Sectoral indices were trading negative on Monday with stocks in telecom sector and realty sector witnessed selling pressure.

Top buzzing stocks today

Ashoka Buildcon share price will be in focus today.

Ashoka Buildcon shares jumped 5.8% following news that the company secured a Rs 4.47 bn order from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

According to the company's filing, BMC awarded additional work for its existing project, Construction of Flyover Arm-1 and Arm-2 at the T-Junction on Sion Panvel Highway, Maharashtra Nagar (M/E Ward).

SPML shares will also be a top buzzing stock.

Shares of SPML Infra rose nearly 10% on Monday after the company won a joint venture project from the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) of Rajasthan.

KMEW Secures Five-Year NMPA Contract

KMEW announced that it received a five-year work order from the New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) to hire a River Sea Vessel (RSV) type IV Security Patrol Boat, including all manpower except High-Speed Diesel (HSD). The contract is valued at Rs 0.1 bn.

KMEW has established a strong presence across India's maritime sector, providing patrol boat services to 5 of the country's 12 major ports. With government investments, port expansions, and new trade corridors, the patrol boat sector is poised for growth, further strengthening KMEW's leadership in maritime security.

On 19 November 2025, KMEW won a 15-year contract from Visakhapatnam Port Authority to operate and manage one ASTDS-GTTP tug, valued at Rs 3.8 bn, under its Green Tug Transmission Programme (GTTP).

The initiative replaces diesel tugs with zero-emission alternatives, reducing carbon emissions and marine pollution. The low-emission harbor and coastal vessel sector is set to grow rapidly, with a market potential of around Rs 120 bn.

Bajaj Finserv Aims 22% Growth

Bajaj Finserv has announced its plans for the next five years (2026-2030). The company aims to achieve a net profit CAGR of 18-22%, targeting Rs 21,000-24 bn on a consolidated basis. It also plans to increase its active customer base from 100 million to over 220 million.

The group intends to list its insurance ventures and focus on serving non-resident Indians (NRIs) through GIFT City and other financial services, including pension fund management. Allianz's exit from the group is expected to be early next year.

Bajaj Finance, the lending arm, targets assets under management (AUM) of Rs 5,000 bn by the end of this financial year. It plans to increase its retail market share to 3.6-4% by 2030 from 2.8% now and grow loan accounts from 50 million to 100 million.

The company will follow a three-pronged strategy, customer centricity, technology leadership, and low-risk approach. Bajaj Finance aims to shift from a product-focused to a customer-focused company, offering all financial solutions while driving innovation and simplifying financial services for its consumers.

RailTel Secures MEA AI Laptops Contract

RailTel Corporation of India has announced that it has received a letter of acceptance (LoA) from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

According to the company's filing, RailTel will act as the Project Implementing Agency (PIA) for the procurement and supply of 2,000 AI-enabled laptops, with the project scheduled for completion by 4 March 2026. The company confirmed that neither its promoters nor promoter group members have any interest in the awarding authority, ensuring the transaction is not a related-party deal under regulatory norms.

RailTel, a Navratna PSU, is one of India's largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers, operating a pan-India optical fiber network.
