ADANI POWER Gains 6%; BSE POWER Index Up 0.3%

Among the top gainers in the BSE POWER index today are ADANI ENERGY SOLUTIONS (up 7.4%) and ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 3.3%).
Thermax (down 0.9%) and Power Grid Corp. (down 0.7%) are among the top losers today.
Over the last one year, ADANI POWER has moved down from Rs 666.2 to Rs 666.0, registering a loss of Rs 0.2 .
On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved down from 8,370.4 to 6,804.2, registering a loss of 18.7% during the last 12 months.
The top losers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were Siemens (down 51.0%), ADANI GREEN ENERGY (down 48.2%) and Thermax (down 37.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 82,883.9 (down 0.2%).
The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Kotak Bank (down 1.9%) and L&T (down 1.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are {sensextoptrade2}.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,423.6 (up 0.4%). Eternal Ltd and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 83,079.7 to 82,883.9, registering a loss of 195.8 points (down 0.2%).
ADANI POWER Financial Update...
ADANI POWER net profit fell 15.5% YoY to Rs 33,051 million for the quarter ended June 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 39,128 million a year ago. Net sales declined 5.7% to Rs 141,092 million during the period as against Rs 149,556 million in April-June 2024.
For the year ended March 2025, ADANI POWER reported 38.8% decrease in net profit to Rs 127,496 million compared to net profit of Rs 208,288 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 11.6% to Rs 562,031 million during FY25.
The current Price to earnings ratio of ADANI POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 21.2.
