ASTRAZENECA PHARMA Share Price Down by 5%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Down 2.5%

ASTRAZENECA PHARMA share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 4,200.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 22,079 (down 2.5%).

Among the top losers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today are ASTRAZENECA PHARMA (down 5.3%) and WOCKHARDT (down 5.2%).

GSK PHARMA (up 1.2%) and IPCA LABS (up 1.0%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, ASTRAZENECA PHARMA has moved up from Rs 2,517 to Rs 4,200, registering a gain of Rs 1,683 (up 66.9%)..

The BSE HEALTHCARE has moved up from 13,705 to 22,079, registering a gain of 8,374 points (up 61.1%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE HEALTHCARE Index stocks during this same period were LAURUS LABS (up 339.3%), GRANULES INDIA (up 162.8%) and STRIDES PHARMA SCIENCE (up 124.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 49,122 (down 1.1%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are RELIANCE IND. (up 2.0%), TITAN (up 1.6%) and HDFC BANK (up 1.0%). Other gainer include ITC (up 0.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and RELIANCE IND..

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,459 (down 1.3%). UPL (up 6.3%) and RELIANCE IND. (up 2.2%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,953 to 49,122, registering a gain of 7,169 points (up 15.57%).

ASTRAZENECA PHARMA Financial Update...

ASTRAZENECA PHARMA net profit down at Rs 186 million for the quarter ended June 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 267 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 13.5% to Rs 1.9 billion during the period as against Rs 2.2 billion in April-June 2019.

For the year ended March 2018, ASTRAZENECA PHARMA reported 29.2% increase in net profit to Rs 259.0 million compared to net profit of Rs 200.0 million during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 4.3% to Rs 6 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ASTRAZENECA PHARMA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 144.2x.
