ASTRAZENECA PHARMA Share Price Up by 6%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Down 0.6%

ASTRAZENECA PHARMA share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 3,840.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 21,600 (down 0.6%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today is ASTRAZENECA PHARMA (up 6.1%).

ABBOTT INDIA (down 0.1%) and SYNGENE INTERNATIONAL (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, ASTRAZENECA PHARMA has moved up from Rs 2,531 to Rs 3,840, registering a gain of Rs 1,309 (up 50.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE has moved up from 14,003 to 21,600, registering a gain of 7,597 points (up 52.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE HEALTHCARE Index stocks during this same period were LAURUS LABS (up 370.8%), GRANULES INDIA (up 140.4%) and STRIDES PHARMA SCIENCE (up 113.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 48,387 (down 0.6%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TECH MAHINDRA (up 2.0%), L&T (up 1.5%) and M&M (up 1.2%). Other gainers include ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 1.1%) and ITC (up 1.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and L&T.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,238 (down 0.6%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include WIPRO (up 2.5%), TECH MAHINDRA (up 2.0%) and ITC (up 1.5%). Other gainers include L&T (up 1.3%) and M&M (up 1.2%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,115 to 48,387, registering a gain of 7,272 points (up 16.90%).

ASTRAZENECA PHARMA Financial Update...

ASTRAZENECA PHARMA net profit down at Rs 186 million for the quarter ended June 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 267 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 13.5% to Rs 1.9 billion during the period as against Rs 2.2 billion in April-June 2019.

For the year ended March 2018, ASTRAZENECA PHARMA reported 29.2% increase in net profit to Rs 259.0 million compared to net profit of Rs 200.0 million during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 4.3% to Rs 6 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ASTRAZENECA PHARMA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 137.6x.
