Indian Stock Market Updates February 18, 2021

BANK OF BARODA Share Price Up by 6%; BSE BANKEX Index Down 0.2%

BANK OF BARODA share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 89.

Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX Index is at 41,967 (down 0.2%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE BANKEX Index today is BANK OF BARODA (up 5.9%).

CITY UNION BANK (down 0.1%) and HDFC BANK (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, BANK OF BARODA has moved up from Rs 82 to Rs 89, registering a gain of Rs 7 (up 8.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE BANKEX has moved up from 35,220 to 41,967, registering a gain of 6,747 points (up 18.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE BANKEX Index stocks during this same period were SBI (up 34.2%), HDFC BANK (up 30.3%) and ICICI BANK (up 19.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 51,904 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ONGC (up 6.3%), NTPC (up 2.8%) and POWER GRID (up 2.8%). Other gainers include SBI (up 2.4%) and ASIAN PAINTS (up 2.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and ONGC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 15,251 (up 0.1%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include GAIL (up 6.6%), ONGC (up 6.1%) and IOC (up 3.8%). Other gainers include NTPC (up 2.3%) and ASIAN PAINTS (up 2.3%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,056 to 51,904, registering a gain of 10,848 points (up 26.03%).

BANK OF BARODA Financial Update...

BANK OF BARODA net profit declined 175.4% YoY to Rs 11 billion for the quarter ended December 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 14 billion a year ago. Operating income declined 6.8% to Rs 177.7 billion during the period as against Rs 190.7 billion in October-December 2019.

For the year ended March 2020, BANK OF BARODA reported 15.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 8.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 10.3 billion during FY19.

Revenue of the company grew 49.1% to Rs 789 billion during FY20.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BANK OF BARODA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 17.3x.
