BEML share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 2,723.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 58,902.8 (up 0.8%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are V GUARD IND. (up 4.8%) and TIMKEN INDIA (up 2.7%).

ABB (down 1.6%) and Graphite India (down 0.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, BEML has moved down from Rs 3,143.6 to Rs 2,723.3, registering a loss of Rs 420.3 (down 13.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 55,650.1 to 58,902.8, registering a gain of 5.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were Bharat Electronics (up 38.1%), ABB (up 17.1%) and HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 13.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 75,650.3 (down 0.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are M&M (down 2.0%) and Kotak Bank (down 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ZOMATO.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 22,878.1 (down 0.2%). M&M and Dr. Reddys are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 72,708.2 to 75,650.3, registering a gain of 2,942.2 points (up 4.0%).

BEML Financial Update...

BEML net profit fell 49.4% YoY to Rs 244 million for the quarter ended December 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 482 million a year ago. Net sales declined 16.4% to Rs 8,758 million during the period as against Rs 10,470 million in October-December 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, BEML reported 78.5% increase in net profit to Rs 2,818 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,579 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 4.0% to Rs 40,543 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BEML, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 43.3.
