BEML share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 3,484.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 60,098.4 (down 4.0%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are ABB (down 6.5%) and Bharat Electronics (down 5.9%).

SKF India (up 0.4%) is among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, BEML has moved down from Rs 3,506.1 to Rs 3,484.8, registering a loss of Rs 21.3 (down 0.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 56,689.8 to 60,098.4, registering a gain of 6.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were Bharat Electronics (up 42.7%), V GUARD IND. (up 31.9%) and Siemens (up 30.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 76,793.4 (down 0.9%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are L&T (down 4.3%) and NTPC (down 4.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ZOMATO and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,225.3 (down 1.1%). Bharat Electronics and BPCL are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 71,752.1 to 76,793.4, registering a gain of 5,041.3 points (up 7.0%).

BEML Financial Update...

BEML net profit fell 1.4% YoY to Rs 510 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 518 million a year ago. Net sales declined 6.2% to Rs 8,598 million during the period as against Rs 9,168 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, BEML reported 78.5% increase in net profit to Rs 2,818 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,579 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 4.0% to Rs 40,543 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BEML, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 50.8.
