BIRLA CORPORATION Share Price Up by 10%; BSE 500 Index Up 1.3%

BIRLA CORPORATION share price has zoomed 10% and is presently trading at Rs 661.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,221 (up 1.3%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are BIRLA CORPORATION (up 10.1%) and APL APOLLO TUBES (up 11.3%).

POWER GRID and SIEMENS are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, BIRLA CORPORATION has moved up from Rs 559 to Rs 661, registering a gain of Rs 102 (up 17.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 10.1%), INFOSYS (up 4.4%) and TECH MAHINDRA (up 3.7%). Other gainers include TCS (up 3.1%) and BAJAJ AUTO (up 1.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,569 (up 0.7%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 10.1%), INFOSYS (up 4.7%) and TATA MOTORS (up 4.1%). Other gainers include WIPRO (up 4.0%) and TECH MAHINDRA (up 3.7%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 37,271 to 39,230, registering a gain of 1,959 points (up 5.05%).

BIRLA CORPORATION net profit stood at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 815 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 1.5% to Rs 16.9 billion during the period as against Rs 17.2 billion in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, BIRLA CORPORATION reported 53.6% increase in net profit to Rs 2.6 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.7 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 10.2% to Rs 65 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BIRLA CORPORATION, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 10.0x.
