Birlasoft Gains 7%; BSE IT Index Up 2.8%

Birlasoft share price has zoomed 7% and is presently trading at Rs 374.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE IT index is at 35,517.5 (up 2.8%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE IT index today are Sonata Software (up 5.4%) and ZENSAR TECHNOLOGIES (up 4.3%).

TANLA SOLUTIONS (down 1.7%) and Eclerx Services (down 1.6%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Birlasoft has moved down from Rs 596.7 to Rs 374.7, registering a loss of Rs 222.0 (down 37.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE IT index has moved down from 41,833.3 to 35,517.5, registering a loss of 15.1% during the last 12 months.

The top losers among the BSE IT index stocks during this same period were ROUTE MOBILE (down 53.1%), Birlasoft (down 37.2%) and Sonata Software (down 37.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 85,055.9 (up 0.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Infosys (up 4.2%) and Axis Bank (up 3.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 26,047.9 (up 0.7%). Infosys and HCl Tech. are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 81,151.3 to 85,055.9, registering a gain of 3,904.6 points (up 4.8%).

Birlasoft Financial Update...

Birlasoft net profit fell 29.1% YoY to Rs 1,064 million for the quarter ended June 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 1,502 million a year ago. Net sales declined 3.2% to Rs 12,849 million during the period as against Rs 13,274 million in April-June 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, Birlasoft reported 17.2% decrease in net profit to Rs 5,168 million compared to net profit of Rs 6,238 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 1.8% to Rs 53,752 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Birlasoft, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 22.1.
