CG Power & Industrial share price has plunged 10% and is presently trading at Rs 536.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 59,416.0 (down 2.8%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are HINDUSTAN AERO. (down 4.3%) and BHEL (down 3.5%).

TIMKEN INDIA (up 0.5%) and SKF India (up 0.4%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, CG Power & Industrial has moved up from Rs 449.9 to Rs 536.3, registering a gain of Rs 86.4 (up 19.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 56,661.2 to 59,416.0, registering a gain of 4.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were Bharat Electronics (up 34.6%), Siemens (up 34.1%) and ABB (up 25.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 75,943.0 (up 0.8%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Axis Bank (up 3.1%) and HDFC Bank (up 3.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ZOMATO.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 22,959.6 (up 0.6%). Axis Bank and HDFC Bank are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 71,060.3 to 75,943.0, registering a gain of 4,882.7 points (up 6.9%).

CG Power & Industrial Financial Update...

CG Power & Industrial net profit fell 9.9% YoY to Rs 2,196 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 2,437 million a year ago. Net sales rose 20.5% to Rs 24,127 million during the period as against Rs 20,015 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, CG Power & Industrial reported 9.4% increase in net profit to Rs 8,711 million compared to net profit of Rs 7,963 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 15.4% to Rs 80,460 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of CG Power & Industrial, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 92.0.
