CONFIDENCE PETRO Plunges 4%; BSE OIL & GAS Index Up 2.1%

Meanwhile, the BSE OIL & GAS index is at 26,891.2 (up 2.1%).
HPCL (up 5.4%) and BPCL (up 4.4%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, CONFIDENCE PETRO has moved up from Rs 51.7 to Rs 52.3, registering a gain of Rs 0.6 (up 1.2%).
On the other hand, the BSE OIL & GAS index has moved up from 24,535.4 to 26,891.2, registering a gain of 9.6% during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE OIL & GAS index stocks during this same period were ONGC (up 25.2%), IOC (up 10.2%) and Reliance Ind. (up 10.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 78,127.9 (up 1.7%).
The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Eternal Ltd (up 3.8%) and Tata Motors (up 3.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Eternal Ltd.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,217.4 (up 1.6%). Eternal Ltd and L&T are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 75,157.3 to 78,127.9, registering a gain of 2,970.6 points (up 4.0%).
CONFIDENCE PETRO Financial Update...
CONFIDENCE PETRO net profit fell 16.8% YoY to Rs 210 million for the quarter ended December 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 252 million a year ago. Net sales rose 99.9% to Rs 13,939 million during the period as against Rs 6,973 million in October-December 2024.
For the year ended March 2025, CONFIDENCE PETRO reported 15.1% decrease in net profit to Rs 875 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,030 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 16.6% to Rs 31,458 million during FY25.
The current Price to earnings ratio of CONFIDENCE PETRO, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 19.7.
