Coforge Plunges 5%; BSE IT Index Down 0.4%

Meanwhile, the BSE IT index is at 34,011.3 (down 0.4%).
Among the top losers in the BSE IT index today are Birlasoft (down 1.2%) and INDIAMART INTERMESH (down 1.1%).
Tech Mahindra (up 0.2%) and Wipro (up 0.2%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, Coforge has moved up from Rs 1,177.8 to Rs 1,628.4, registering a gain of Rs 450.5 (up 38.3%).
On the other hand, the BSE IT index has moved down from 39,297.0 to 34,011.3, registering a loss of 13.5% during the last 12 months.
The top losers among the BSE IT index stocks during this same period were Sonata Software (down 46.4%), ROUTE MOBILE (down 42.7%) and Birlasoft (down 34.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 80,530.3 (down 0.1%).
The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Nestle (down 49.9%) and Bharti Airtel (down 2.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Bharti Airtel and Eternal Ltd.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,561.0 (down 0.1%). Nestle and Bharti Airtel are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 78,593.1 to 80,530.3, registering a gain of 1,937.2 points (up 2.5%).
Coforge Financial Update...
Coforge net profit grew 81.7% YoY to Rs 2,862 million for the quarter ended June 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 1,575 million a year ago. Net sales rose 56.5% to Rs 36,886 million during the period as against Rs 23,571 million in April-June 2024.
For the year ended March 2024, Coforge reported 12.1% increase in net profit to Rs 8,356 million compared to net profit of Rs 7,451 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 14.5% to Rs 91,790 million during FY24.
The current Price to earnings ratio of Coforge, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 50.4.
