Colgate share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 2,239.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 20,485.1 (up 1.7%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE FMCG index today are Nestle (up 7.1%) and CCL PRODUCTS (up 5.2%).

Godfrey Phillips (down 5.3%) and UNITED BREWERIES (down 1.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Colgate has moved down from Rs 3,455.5 to Rs 2,239.7, registering a loss of Rs 1,215.8 (down 35.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved down from 22,316.5 to 20,485.1, registering a loss of 8.2% during the last 12 months.

The top losers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were Shree Renuka Sugars (down 40.0%), JYOTHY LABS (down 38.3%) and Colgate (down 35.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,444.5 (up 1.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Maruti Suzuki (up 8.8%) and Nestle (up 7.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ and Bajaj Finance.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,942.6 (up 1.3%). Maruti Suzuki and Nestle are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 78,956.0 to 81,444.5, registering a gain of 2,488.4 points (up 3.2%).

Colgate Financial Update...

Colgate net profit fell 11.9% YoY to Rs 3,206 million for the quarter ended June 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 3,640 million a year ago. Net sales declined 4.2% to Rs 14,341 million during the period as against Rs 14,967 million in April-June 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, Colgate reported 8.5% increase in net profit to Rs 14,368 million compared to net profit of Rs 13,237 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 6.3% to Rs 60,402 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Colgate, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 43.7.
