Indian Stock Market Updates January 12, 2021

DLF Share Price Up by 5%; BSE REALTY Index Up 1.7%

DLF share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 260.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY Index is at 2,647 (up 1.7%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE REALTY Index today is DLF (up 5.2%).

OBEROI REALTY (down 0.2%) and PRESTIGE ESTATES (down 0.3%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, DLF has moved up from Rs 228 to Rs 260, registering a gain of Rs 33 (up 14.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY has moved up from 2,266 to 2,647, registering a gain of 381 points (up 16.7%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE REALTY Index stocks during this same period were GODREJ PROPERTIES (up 55.1%), SOBHA (up 21.2%) and DLF (up 14.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 49,271 (down 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BHARTI AIRTEL (up 2.8%), TATA STEEL (up 1.5%) and ONGC (up 1.4%). Other gainers include RELIANCE IND. (up 1.4%) and MARUTI SUZUKI (up 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ONGC and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,510 . The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include TATA MOTORS (up 9.5%), EICHER MOTOR (up 4.7%) and GAIL (up 4.4%). Other gainers include COAL INDIA (up 3.8%) and IOC (up 3.0%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,818 to 49,271, registering a gain of 8,453 points (up 20.57%).

DLF Financial Update...

DLF net profit down at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended June 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 59.1% to Rs 5.5 billion during the period as against Rs 13.4 billion in April-June 2019.

For the year ended March 2018, DLF reported 1305.7% decrease in net profit to Rs 44.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.7 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 18.4% to Rs 67 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of DLF, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 25.8x.
