Elecon Engineering share price has plunged 7% and is presently trading at Rs 556.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 69,668.5 (up 0.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Graphite India (down 4.4%) and SCHAEFFLER INDIA (down 0.8%).

Lakshmi Machine (up 2.2%) and Carborundum Universal (up 1.4%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Elecon Engineering has moved down from Rs 638.6 to Rs 556.6, registering a loss of Rs 81.9 (down 12.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved down from 70,731.1 to 69,668.5, registering a loss of 1.5% during the last 12 months.

The top losers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were Siemens (down 57.2%), ADANI GREEN ENERGY (down 41.4%) and Finolex Cables (down 39.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 82,590.6 (up 0.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are SBI (up 2.1%) and Indusind Bank (up 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,298.1 (up 0.5%). Cipla and SBI are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 81,634.8 to 82,590.6, registering a gain of 955.8 points (up 1.2%).

Elecon Engineering Financial Update...

Elecon Engineering net profit grew 146.6% YoY to Rs 1,748 million for the quarter ended June 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 709 million a year ago. Net sales rose 25.0% to Rs 4,906 million during the period as against Rs 3,924 million in April-June 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, Elecon Engineering reported 16.7% increase in net profit to Rs 4,151 million compared to net profit of Rs 3,556 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 14.9% to Rs 22,270 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Elecon Engineering, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 24.4.
