Engineers India Plunges 7%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 3.1%

Engineers India share price has plunged 7% and is presently trading at Rs 189.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 65,563.9 (down 3.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Bharat Electronics (down 5.2%) and GMR Infra (down 5.2%).

Over the last one year, Engineers India has moved down from Rs 204.2 to Rs 189.0, registering a loss of Rs 15.2 (down 7.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved down from 72,231.5 to 65,563.9, registering a loss of 9.2% during the last 12 months.

The top losers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were SKF India (down 64.8%), Siemens (down 58.5%) and Finolex Cables (down 41.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 84,947.8 (down 0.9%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Indusind Bank (down 3.9%) and Eternal Ltd (down 2.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and Eternal Ltd.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,912.5 (down 1.1%). Bharat Electronics and Indusind Bank are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 80,956.3 to 84,947.8, registering a gain of 3,991.5 points (up 4.9%).

Engineers India Financial Update...

Engineers India net profit grew 41.8% YoY to Rs 1,091 million for the quarter ended September 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 769 million a year ago. Net sales rose 33.7% to Rs 9,213 million during the period as against Rs 6,889 million in July-September 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, Engineers India reported 31.0% increase in net profit to Rs 4,719 million compared to net profit of Rs 3,602 million during FY24. Revenue of the company fell 5.9% to Rs 30,876 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Engineers India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 20.5.
