FORTIS HEALTHCARE Share Price Down by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 1.8%

FORTIS HEALTHCARE share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 174.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 18,692 (down 1.8%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are FORTIS HEALTHCARE (down 5.4%) and INFO EDGE (down 5.5%).

CYIENT (up 12.3%) and MMTC (up 7.1%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, FORTIS HEALTHCARE has moved up from Rs 151 to Rs 174, registering a gain of Rs 22 (up 14.7%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 15,797 to 18,692, registering a gain of 2,895 points (up 18.3%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 422.5%), LAURUS LABS (up 358.0%) and DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 239.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 48,387 (down 2.1%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TECH MAHINDRA (up 1.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and HCL TECHNOLOGIES.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,238 (down 2.1%). WIPRO (up 1.8%) and SBI LIFE INSURANCE (up 1.7%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,115 to 48,387, registering a gain of 7,272 points (up 15.12%).

FORTIS HEALTHCARE Financial Update...

FORTIS HEALTHCARE net profit declined 41.1% YoY to Rs 433 million for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 735 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 4.8% to Rs 11.1 billion during the period as against Rs 11.7 billion in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, FORTIS HEALTHCARE reported 97.5% decrease in net profit to Rs 13.0 million compared to net loss of Rs 534.0 million during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 2.0% to Rs 45 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of FORTIS HEALTHCARE, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 155.2x.
