GUJARAT ALKALIES Share Price Up by 10%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.2%

GUJARAT ALKALIES share price has zoomed 10% and is presently trading at Rs 666.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 24,276 (down 0.2%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE 500 Index today is GUJARAT ALKALIES (up 10.0%).

BOMBAY BURMAH and WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, GUJARAT ALKALIES has moved up from Rs 335 to Rs 666, registering a gain of Rs 331 (up 98.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE 500 has moved up from 14,618 to 24,276, registering a gain of 9,658 points (up 65.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are MARUTI SUZUKI (up 3.5%), M&M (up 1.9%) and ONGC (up 1.7%). Other gainers include HDFC BANK (up 1.5%) and BAJAJ AUTO (up 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ONGC and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 17,944 (down 0.1%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include TATA MOTORS (up 3.6%), MARUTI SUZUKI (up 3.4%) and HERO MOTOCORP (up 2.2%). Other gainers include UPL (up 2.1%) and M&M (up 2.0%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 37,668 to 60,412, registering a gain of 22,744 points (up 59.35%).

GUJARAT ALKALIES Financial Update...

GUJARAT ALKALIES net profit stood at Rs 635 million for the quarter ended June 2021, compared to a profit of Rs 335 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 10.2% to Rs 7.2 billion during the period as against Rs 6.5 billion in April-June 2020.

For the year ended March 2021, GUJARAT ALKALIES reported 49.9% decrease in net profit to Rs 1.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.3 billion during FY20.

Revenue of the company grew 10.8% to Rs 24 billion during FY21.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GUJARAT ALKALIES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 24.6x.
