Indian Stock Market Updates January 18, 2021

HEG Share Price Down by 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 1.2%

HEG share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 1,004.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 19,608 (down 1.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today are HEG (down 5.1%) and GRAPHITE INDIA (down 5.1%).

SIEMENS (up 0.7%) and SCHAEFFLER INDIA are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, HEG has moved down from Rs 1,063 to Rs 1,004, registering a loss of Rs 59 (down 5.5%)..

The BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved up from 17,360 to 19,608, registering a gain of 2,248 points (up 12.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were HAVELLS INDIA (up 50.5%), HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (up 44.8%) and LAKSHMI MACHINE (up 33.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 49,122 (down 1.2%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are RELIANCE IND. (up 2.1%), TITAN (up 1.5%) and HDFC BANK (up 1.0%). Other gainer include ITC (up 0.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and RELIANCE IND..

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,459 (down 1.4%). UPL (up 6.2%) and RELIANCE IND. (up 1.8%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,953 to 49,122, registering a gain of 7,169 points (up 15.51%).

HEG Financial Update...

HEG net profit stood at Rs 108 million for the quarter ended June 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 59 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 40.7% to Rs 2.3 billion during the period as against Rs 3.9 billion in April-June 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, HEG reported 182.1% increase in net profit to Rs 30.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 10.8 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 139.0% to Rs 66 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HEG, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 21.5x.
