HINDUSTAN COPPER share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 496.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 37,268.7 (down 4.8%).

Among the top losers in the BSE METAL index today are Jindal Steel (down 6.4%) and Hindalco (down 6.0%).

Over the last one year, HINDUSTAN COPPER has moved up from Rs 218.2 to Rs 496.0, registering a gain of Rs 277.8 (up 127.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 30,121.4 to 37,268.7, registering a gain of 23.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 55.4%), SAIL (up 37.8%) and APOLLO TUBES (up 33.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 74,563.9 (down 1.9%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are L&T (down 7.4%) and Tata Steel (down 5.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Motors and Eternal Ltd.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,153.2 (down 2.1%). L&T and Hindalco are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 74,102.3 to 74,563.9, registering a gain of 461.6 points (up 0.6%).

HINDUSTAN COPPER Financial Update...

HINDUSTAN COPPER net profit grew 148.6% YoY to Rs 1,563 million for the quarter ended December 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 629 million a year ago. Net sales rose 109.7% to Rs 6,873 million during the period as against Rs 3,278 million in October-December 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, HINDUSTAN COPPER reported 58.1% increase in net profit to Rs 4,674 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,957 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 20.6% to Rs 20,710 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HINDUSTAN COPPER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 72.0.
