HINDUSTAN COPPER Share Price Up by 5%; BSE METAL Index Up 0.8%

HINDUSTAN COPPER share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 145.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL Index is at 16,172 (up 0.8%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE METAL Index today is HINDUSTAN COPPER (up 5.2%).

COAL INDIA (down 0.2%) is among the top loser today.

Over the last one year, HINDUSTAN COPPER has moved up from Rs 25 to Rs 145, registering a gain of Rs 120 (up 472.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL has moved up from 6,292 to 16,172, registering a gain of 9,880 points (up 156.6%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE METAL Index stocks during this same period were JINDAL STEEL & POWER (up 356.9%), JSW STEEL (up 277.2%) and SAIL (up 257.0%).

The BSE Sensex is at 48,998 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ASIAN PAINTS (up 2.0%), HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 1.7%) and TECH MAHINDRA (up 1.2%). Other gainers include ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 1.1%) and HDFC (up 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are INFOSYS and HDFC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,641 (up 0.3%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include WIPRO (up 5.9%), ASIAN PAINTS (up 1.9%) and ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 1.7%). Other gainers include HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 1.5%) and TATA CONSUMER PROD. (up 1.5%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 30,690 to 48,998, registering a gain of 18,308 points (up 59.27%).

HINDUSTAN COPPER Financial Update...

HINDUSTAN COPPER net profit down at Rs 5 billion for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 955 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 57.4% to Rs 1.5 billion during the period as against Rs 933.0 million in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, HINDUSTAN COPPER reported 82.2% increase in net profit to Rs 1.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 798.0 million during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 5.6% to Rs 18 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HINDUSTAN COPPER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 23.4x.
