JAGRAN PRAKASHAN Share Price Down by 7%; BSE 500 Index Up 1.3%

JAGRAN PRAKASHAN share price has plunged 7% and is presently trading at Rs 63.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 19,932 (up 1.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today is JAGRAN PRAKASHAN (down 7.4%).

SYMPHONY (up 20.0%) and SHIPPING CORP (up 20.0%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, JAGRAN PRAKASHAN has moved down from Rs 67 to Rs 63, registering a loss of Rs 4 (down 5.9%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 15,257 to 19,932, registering a gain of 4,675 points (up 30.6%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 580.0%), DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 367.1%) and HINDUSTAN COPPER (up 336.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 50,425 (up 1.0%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are M&M (up 5.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are NTPC and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,950 (up 1.3%). TATA MOTORS (up 5.5%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 39,889 to 50,425, registering a gain of 10,536 points (up 26.28%).

JAGRAN PRAKASHAN Financial Update...

JAGRAN PRAKASHAN net profit down at Rs 769 million for the quarter ended December 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 818 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 27.2% to Rs 4.0 billion during the period as against Rs 5.5 billion in October-December 2019.

For the year ended March 2020, JAGRAN PRAKASHAN reported 2.6% increase in net profit to Rs 2.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 2.7 billion during FY19.

Revenue of the company grew 11.2% to Rs 21 billion during FY20.

The current Price to earnings ratio of JAGRAN PRAKASHAN, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 31.8x.
