JAI CORP Plunges 7%; BSE METAL Index Down 2.1%

JAI CORP share price has plunged 7% and is presently trading at Rs 156.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 34,021.2 (down 2.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE METAL index today are Hindalco (down 7.1%) and Jindal Steel (down 1.5%).

APOLLO TUBES (up 1.1%) is among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, JAI CORP has moved down from Rs 322.3 to Rs 156.0, registering a loss of Rs 166.3 (down 51.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 30,965.9 to 34,021.2, registering a gain of 9.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were JSW Steel (up 22.0%), Tata Steel (up 20.8%) and SAIL (up 20.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 83,440.3 .

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Power Grid Corp. (down 2.7%) and Eternal Ltd (down 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Eternal Ltd and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,560.1 (down 0.2%). Hindalco and Grasim Industries are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 78,782.2 to 83,440.3, registering a gain of 4,658.1 points (up 5.9%).

JAI CORP Financial Update...

JAI CORP net profit grew 657.8% YoY to Rs 1,044 million for the quarter ended June 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 138 million a year ago. Net sales rose 8.5% to Rs 1,313 million during the period as against Rs 1,209 million in April-June 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, JAI CORP reported 26.4% increase in net profit to Rs 668 million compared to net profit of Rs 529 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 11.8% to Rs 5,177 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of JAI CORP, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 17.4.
