Jaiprakash Power share price has zoomed 16% and is presently trading at Rs 20.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 6,716.0 (down 0.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE POWER index today are ADANI POWER (up 1.4%) and Tata Power (up 0.5%).

KEC INTERNATIONAL (down 10.4%) and ADANI ENERGY SOLUTIONS (down 1.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Jaiprakash Power has moved up from Rs 16.6 to Rs 20.4, registering a gain of Rs 3.9 (up 23.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved down from 7,266.4 to 6,716.0, registering a loss of 7.6% during the last 12 months.

The top losers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were Siemens (down 51.5%), Thermax (down 39.9%) and KEC INTERNATIONAL (down 30.4%).

The BSE Sensex is at 85,133.1 (up 0.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are HCl Tech. (up 4.4%) and Infosys (up 3.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Power Grid Corp..

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 26,044.7 (up 0.5%). HCl Tech. and Infosys are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 77,339.0 to 85,133.1, registering a gain of 7,794.1 points (up 10.1%).

Jaiprakash Power Financial Update...

Jaiprakash Power net profit fell 0.3% YoY to Rs 1,821 million for the quarter ended September 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 1,827 million a year ago. Net sales rose 17.3% to Rs 14,383 million during the period as against Rs 12,264 million in July-September 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, Jaiprakash Power reported 20.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 8,136 million compared to net profit of Rs 10,220 million during FY24. Revenue of the company fell 19.2% to Rs 54,622 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Jaiprakash Power, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 18.8.
