Meanwhile, the BSE OIL & GAS Index is at 15,024 (down 0.1%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE OIL & GAS Index today is MRPL (up 10.6%).

INDRAPRASTHA GAS (down 0.4%) and CASTROL INDIA (down 0.6%) are among the top losers today.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 15,314 (down 0.6%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include ADANI PORTS & SEZ (up 2.9%), HERO MOTOCORP (up 2.8%) and SBI (up 2.3%). Other gainers include POWER GRID (up 2.0%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE (up 1.8%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,056 to 52,078, registering a gain of 11,022 points (up 26.04%).

MRPL Financial Update...

MRPL net profit down at Rs 16 billion for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 366 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 4.8% to Rs 175.5 billion during the period as against Rs 167.4 billion in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2018, MRPL reported 6.4% increase in net profit to Rs 18.0 billion compared to net profit of Rs 16.9 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 6.2% to Rs 637 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of MRPL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 2.5x.
