Marico Gains 3%; BSE FMCG Index Down 0.1%

Marico share price has zoomed 3% and is presently trading at Rs 735.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 20,221.8 (down 0.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE FMCG index today are Ruchi Soya Industries (up 3.3%) and Emami (up 2.0%).

Hindustan Unilever (down 4.9%) and CCL PRODUCTS (down 3.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Marico has moved up from Rs 641.3 to Rs 735.5, registering a gain of Rs 94.3 (up 14.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved down from 21,131.5 to 20,221.8, registering a loss of 4.3% during the last 12 months.

The top losers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were Shree Renuka Sugars (down 38.9%), JYOTHY LABS (down 28.9%) and Balrampur Chini (down 26.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 85,712.4 (up 0.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are SBI (up 2.5%) and Bajaj Finserv (up 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Eternal Ltd and Infosys.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 26,194.7 (up 0.6%). Shriram Transport and SBI are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 80,845.8 to 85,712.4, registering a gain of 4,866.6 points (up 6.0%).

Marico Financial Update...

Marico net profit fell 0.2% YoY to Rs 4,320 million for the quarter ended September 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 4,330 million a year ago. Net sales rose 30.7% to Rs 34,820 million during the period as against Rs 26,640 million in July-September 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, Marico reported 10.4% increase in net profit to Rs 16,580 million compared to net profit of Rs 15,020 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 12.2% to Rs 108,310 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Marico, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 56.3.
