NEWGEN SOFTWARE share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 1,038.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE IT index is at 35,244.5 (up 0.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE IT index today are TANLA SOLUTIONS (up 0.8%) and INTELLECT DESIGN (up 0.8%).

Eclerx Services (down 3.2%) and L&T TECHNOLOGY SERVICES (down 0.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, NEWGEN SOFTWARE has moved down from Rs 1,232.2 to Rs 1,038.5, registering a loss of Rs 193.7 (down 15.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE IT index has moved down from 41,976.3 to 35,244.5, registering a loss of 16.0% during the last 12 months.

The top losers among the BSE IT index stocks during this same period were ROUTE MOBILE (down 51.8%), Sonata Software (down 37.9%) and Birlasoft (down 34.6%).

The BSE Sensex is at 84,813.3 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Asian Paints (up 1.0%) and L&T (up 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 26,010.0 (up 0.3%). IOC and JSW Steel are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 80,005.0 to 84,813.3, registering a gain of 4,808.2 points (up 6.0%).

NEWGEN SOFTWARE Financial Update...

NEWGEN SOFTWARE net profit grew 16.2% YoY to Rs 817 million for the quarter ended September 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 703 million a year ago. Net sales rose 11.0% to Rs 4,008 million during the period as against Rs 3,612 million in July-September 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, NEWGEN SOFTWARE reported 25.3% increase in net profit to Rs 3,152 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,516 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 19.5% to Rs 14,869 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of NEWGEN SOFTWARE, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 44.9.
