NEWGEN SOFTWARE share price has plunged 14% and is presently trading at Rs 620.4.

Mastek (up 0.9%) and INTELLECT DESIGN (up 0.3%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, NEWGEN SOFTWARE has moved down from Rs 1,632.1 to Rs 620.4, registering a loss of Rs 1,011.7 (down 62.0%).
On the other hand, the BSE IT index has moved down from 42,810.0 to 36,937.2, registering a loss of 13.7% during the last 12 months.
The top losers among the BSE IT index stocks during this same period were ROUTE MOBILE (down 52.4%), Sonata Software (down 45.8%) and HAPPIEST MINDS TECHNOLOGIES (down 42.2%).

The BSE Sensex is at 82,669.1 (down 0.7%).
The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Indusind Bank (down 4.7%) and Sun Pharma (down 3.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC Bank and Eternal Ltd.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,379.2 (down 0.8%). Indusind Bank and Sun Pharma are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 77,042.8 to 82,669.1, registering a gain of 5,626.3 points (up 7.3%).
NEWGEN SOFTWARE net profit grew 16.2% YoY to Rs 817 million for the quarter ended September 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 703 million a year ago. Net sales rose 11.0% to Rs 4,008 million during the period as against Rs 3,612 million in July-September 2024.
For the year ended March 2025, NEWGEN SOFTWARE reported 25.3% increase in net profit to Rs 3,152 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,516 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 19.5% to Rs 14,869 million during FY25.
The current Price to earnings ratio of NEWGEN SOFTWARE, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 26.9.
