Orient Refractories share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 443.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 31,067.1 (up 0.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are Vedanta (up 1.4%) and Hindalco (up 0.5%).

Hindustan Zinc (down 1.0%) and Jindal Steel (down 0.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Orient Refractories has moved down from Rs 534.0 to Rs 443.0, registering a loss of Rs 91.0 (down 17.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 27,300.7 to 31,067.1, registering a gain of 13.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 72.1%), Hindustan Zinc (up 52.2%) and Hindalco (up 32.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Titan (up 2.4%) and Bharti Airtel (up 2.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and ZOMATO.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,049.7 (up 0.6%). Titan and Bharti Airtel are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 72,748.4 to 75,896.2, registering a gain of 3,147.8 points (up 4.3%).

Orient Refractories Financial Update...

Orient Refractories net profit grew 20.7% YoY to Rs 475 million for the quarter ended December 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 394 million a year ago. Net sales rose 9.5% to Rs 10,107 million during the period as against Rs 9,229 million in October-December 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Orient Refractories reported 78.5% increase in net profit to Rs -1,001 million compared to net loss of Rs 4,657 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 38.7% to Rs 37,811 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Orient Refractories, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -99.9.
