PERSISTENT SYSTEMS at All Time High; BSE IT Index Up 1.2%

PERSISTENT SYSTEMS share price has hit an all-time high at Rs 1,801 (up 1.0%).

Meanwhile, the BSE IT Index is at 26,381 (up 1.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE IT Index today are PERSISTENT SYSTEMS (up 1.0%) and ORACLE FINANCIAL (up 0.1%).

HEXAWARE TECHNOLOGIES and L&T INFOTECH (down 0.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, PERSISTENT SYSTEMS has moved up from Rs 714 to Rs 1,801, registering a gain of Rs 1,087 (up 151.2%).

The BSE IT has moved up from 16,149 to 26,381, registering a gain of 10,232 points (up 62.7%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE IT Index stocks during this same period were INTELLECT DESIGN (up 181.7%), TATA ELXSI (up 178.4%) and PERSISTENT SYSTEMS (up 151.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 51,606 (up 0.4%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 1.8%), INFOSYS (up 1.7%) and ONGC (up 1.7%). Other gainers include TITAN (up 1.6%) and ITC (up 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ONGC and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 15,198 (up 0.4%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include WIPRO (up 3.1%), BPCL (up 2.4%) and UPL (up 2.4%). Other gainers include TITAN (up 1.9%) and ONGC (up 1.9%).

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,143 to 51,606, registering a gain of 10,463 points (up 25.3%).

PERSISTENT SYSTEMS Financial Update...

PERSISTENT SYSTEMS net profit stood at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended December 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 879 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 16.5% to Rs 10.8 billion during the period as against Rs 9.2 billion in October-December 2019.

For the year ended March 2018, PERSISTENT SYSTEMS reported 3.3% increase in net profit to Rs 3.2 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.1 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 5.4% to Rs 30 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of PERSISTENT SYSTEMS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 36.2x.
