Among the top losers in the BSE METAL index today are Vedanta (down 1.6%) and SAIL (down 1.4%).
JSW Steel (up 0.1%) is among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, POKARNA has moved up from Rs 440.2 to Rs 1,247.8, registering a gain of Rs 807.7 (up 183.5%).
On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 27,638.1 to 31,125.0, registering a gain of 12.6% during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 69.9%), Hindustan Zinc (up 52.1%) and JSW Steel (up 30.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (up 2.8%) and HCl Tech. (up 2.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ZOMATO and NTPC.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,798.2 (up 0.6%). Ultratech Cement and HCl Tech. are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 72,641.2 to 78,499.9, registering a gain of 5,858.7 points (up 8.1%).
POKARNA Financial Update...
POKARNA net profit grew 118.9% YoY to Rs 505 million for the quarter ended December 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 231 million a year ago. Net sales rose 35.9% to Rs 2,236 million during the period as against Rs 1,646 million in October-December 2023.
For the year ended March 2024, POKARNA reported 34.2% increase in net profit to Rs 914 million compared to net profit of Rs 681 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 5.2% to Rs 6,876 million during FY24.
The current Price to earnings ratio of POKARNA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 26.7.
